LOCATION

Brzózka Forest District is part of Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Zielona Góra. It is situated in the western part of Lubuskie Province, in the area of Krosno District, in the communes of: Bobrowice, Dąbie, Gubin and Krosno Odrzańskie and in the area of Żary District, the commune of Lubsko.

The Forest Inspectorate form the north is narrowed by the River Odra, in the north it borders the forest inspectorates of Gubin and Lubsko, in the south the forest inspectorate of Krzystkowice, and in the east the forest inspectorate of Zielona Góra.
 

The total area of the district is 24.009,20 hectares, including the forest area of 22.777,09 hectares. The forestation comprises 53%. The predominating here are coniferous forest sites, and pine is the dominant species. The landscape is very diverse. The lowest lying areas in the inspectorate are situated by the Odra River, near Czarnów (35 metres above sea level), and the highest point constitutes the prominence in the area of Janiszowice (124,4 metres above sea level).

The Forest District lies in the area of two climates clash: marine and continental. It is divided into three forestial sub-districts (Bobrowice, Brzózka and Pław) which include 13 forest rangers and arboricultures.
